The Sugar Bowl Component

The Pullman brothers, Gust and Leo, operated the Sugar Bowl at 26 Webster from 1920 to 1965, having come to North Tonawanda in 1911 and worked for their cousins, the Yianilos brothers until they could afford to buy the business. A re-creation of their popular soda fountain and candy shop will be part of the Lumber City History Center. This photo is believed to be from the 1920s period.
