Winter Walk - December 6, 2003

Only two month's old as a grassroots interest group wanting to create a museum, eighteen volunteers came forward for our first participation in Winter Walk 2003 in downtown North Tonawanda. In the photo, Charter Museum members and volunteers gather near the sign provided by Honorary Charter Life Member Frank Budwey for the day, including Marv Fritz, Becky Bork, Don Chretien, Frank Budwey, John Borycki, Barbara Wickman, and Steve Ash. We set up in front of the Buffalo Suzuki Strings Musical Arts Center at 4 Webster Street, courtesy of Honorary Charter Life Member Timothy J. Neal.

In the kitchen inside Buffalo Suzuki Strings Musical Arts Center, Museum volunteers gathered with a Buffalo Suzuki Strings instructor. Barb Wickman, left, George Saliba, and Jane Conner at the right of the music teacher, kept the coffee and hot chocolate coming and supervised supplies for the day.

Charter Museum member and volunteer Steve Ash chats with then Museum Treasurer Timothy J. Neal.

Charter Museum member and volunteer Sonya DiNardo serves Mayor David Burgio, our first customer of the day, Steve Ash, Becky Bork, Dave Bork, and Dan DiNardo gather around.

Sonya DiNardo and Mayor Burgio look over the cookies from Barb's Sweet Treats. Other fare for the day included donuts from Budwey's Bakery, mini subs, Old World Sausage Factory Italian Sausages cooked on a propane grill, with chef Dan DiNardo crooning in Italian.
