Winter Walk - December 3, 2004

The beginnings of our collections. Items come in daily from not just North Tonawanda, but also from all over the country. Our startup facilities are already quickly being outgrown.

Museum volunteer and Charter Honorary Life Member Betty Brandon at left with visitors to the Museum during the Open House, including Museum volunteers George Saliba and Jane Conner.

The Museum had a constant flow of visitors that day. Here, Museum President Cynthia Fredricks is telling visitors about the Museum.

Betty Brandon tells a visitor about Museum plans for the future.

A visitor enjoys a 1920's photo of workers in the VanRaalte Silk Mill. Photo shows part of the business office, with desk donated by DeGraff Memorial Hospital, filing cabinet donated by Buffalo Suzuki Strings. Computer equipment was purchased with a grant obtained for the Museum by Senator George Maziarz. In the corner of the desk over the computer monitor is the small version of the Niederlander Award received by the Museum in October 2004 for outstanding accomplishment in programming as an emerging historical organization.
