| The Tonawanda News was established as the Daily News on April 1, 1880, by Dr. George Hobbie. Charles Hewitt, son of Ruby Hewitt, long-time Tonawanda News owner, represented the paper at the party. Mr. Hewitt donated three issues of the 1880's newspaper to the North Tonawanda History Museum. |
