HISTORY WALKS OFFERED TO NT TEACHERS AS FIELD TRIP OPPORTUNITIES

The North Tonawanda History Museum Education Committee is pleased to offer teachers in North Tonawanda schools an opportunity to participate with their classes in a walking history tour as a field trip on local history.

Walks can be arranged to accommodate class schedules. A 90-minute walk is suggested. At present, a “North Tonawanda, Lumber Capital of the World” and a “Homes of North Tonawanda's Past” walking tour is available. It is hoped that a Sweeney Cemetery tour and tours of other City cemeteries will be available by the spring of 2006.

Comfortable shoes and a bottle of water are recommended for tour participants.

Suggested donation to the Museum is $2 per student. No charge for teachers and chaperones.

Please contact the Museum by calling the number below to make arrangements.
