G. F. Meyers Coal Co. - wholesale and retail - was located on the west side of Vandervoort Street between Goundry and Tremont Streets. They supplied coal, wood, and charcoal for heating and cooking. Wood and charcoal were delivered by horse and wagon. They delivered what they described as "quality Lehigh Valley Anthrasite coal" in their new "Autocar" coal trucks shown in this photo. The trucks had three compartments, which could eachhold one ton of coal. The rubber tire design was the very latest in hard rubber, needed to insure delivery during the winter months.
