NT Gunner has flown 13 bombing missions
An Eighth Air Force Force Liberator Station, England, S/Sgt. William C. Peace, of 136 Clair Avenue, North Tonawanda, N.Y. has been awarded the Air Medal for meritorious achievement in aerial combat.
He is an engineer-gunner on a B-24 Liberator heavy bomber. He has made 13 bombing missions over Germany and enemy occupied Europe.
S/Sgt. Peace is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl W. Peace of Reynoldsville, Pa. His wife, Mrs. June Peace, lives at 136 Clair Avenue, North Tonawanda, N.Y.
In civilian life he was a press operator employed by Remington Rand, Inc., of Tonawanda. He entered the Army on Oct. 28, 1942 and has been overseas since April 24, 1944.
