An earlier photo, a horse and wagon at the loading dock.

An early scene, circa 1900, standing in front of a large military band organ are Eugene DeKleist, George Herschell (third and fourth from right), James Armitage (to the left of DeKleist, near the center of the band organ) and others.  Identified from photo reproduced in "Put Another Nickel In" by Q. David Bowers,. from "A Pictorial History of the Carousel" by Frederick Fried,  Band organs manufactured by DeKleist were used to provide music for Armitage-Herschell merry-go-rounds.
