Hill - Manning Boat Company

Under the Yacht Sales Service Storage Repairs lettering can be seen the painted over lettering of Hill-Manning Boat Corp. This building, on Tonawanda Island, eventually was taken over by Bison Boat Co. in the 1940's. This photo is believed to have been taken during that period of time while part of the Bison operation.
Hill-Manning produced high quality sailboats known as snipes. The snipe in the photo is owned by Allan Duquette of Tonawanda.

Mr. Duquette's son and a friend pose with the snipe.

The metal plate on the snipe reads "Hull built by Hill-Manning Boat Corporation, North Tonawanda, NY.
