Frontier Manufacturing Company
Erie Avenue
In this photo, Mr. & Mrs. Stanley Peuchen and their daughters ride past their home at 309 Goundry Street in the family's elaborately decorated automobile as they prepared to participate in a parade in the 1920's. Frontier Manufacturing Company, on Erie Avenue, was owned and operated by Stanley Peuchen and his brothers. They manufactured oil-based products under the trade name, "Oak-A-Lyte" and, during World War I were known for the manufacture of "Tops Oil," a cutting oil. Mr. Peuchen's nickname was "Tops." The Peuchens entertained in the carriage house behind this house. Courtesy of the Trautman Collection
