First Baptist Church Gallery

1886 - First meeting place for First Baptist Church - third floor of the building on the left on Webster Street which was known as the Good Templars Hall.   The first worship service was held on May 17, 1885.

The sanctuary and basement were the first to be built for the new home at 530 Meadow Drive.


A 3-phase building plan was established:  sanctuary and basement first, educational and administrative wing, then classrooms and gymnasium.  First service in the sanctuary was held on May 30 1965, eighty years to the month since the first service in the Good Templar's Hall.
