The Ray H. Bennett Home

209 Niagara Street

209 Niagara Street - Built in 1920 for his own personal residence by lumberman Ray H. Bennett, producer of mail order homes, it is said that he never lived in the home.  Ray H. Bennett Lumber Co., Inc., and Bennett Homes operated from the Oliver Street location at the railroad crossing where Wallace G. Palmer initially operated W. G. Palmer Lumber Co.  A cedar shingled home, it has black walnut doors, molding, banister, and window trim, crystal chandeliers, and oak hardwood floors, along with three brickfireplaces.

209 Niagara Street today.

Residents remember the large greenhouse which was once on the side lot at the right of the house.
