The Wilhelm H. Stradella Home

335 Goundry Street

335 Goundry Street was built by Wilhelm H. Stradella, who was associated with the Northern Lumber Company.  He married the daughter of Congressman Charles Gillette. His son, Charles, became vice president of General Motors Acceptane Corporation and became a very wealthy man.  His daughter, Augusta, married to Alan Burke of Buffalo, lost her only son in World War II when he served with the U. S. Marines on Iwo Jima.  The Stradella family never really got over the loss of this young man. Photo taken in 2004.
