286 Goundry Street

Commonly referred to as part of "the Goundry farm," the blue home was also home to jeweler John Mundie. Author/poetess Ruth Rasey Simpson, a North Tonawanda English teacher, also lived here for a time. The brown house across Payne Avenue at the left was built by Dr. Allen Leonard. The yellow house at the right was built by lumberman Thomas Charlton and later remodeled extensively by Creo-Dipt owner Harry Gosch.
